241/3 vs New Zealand – 2019

The first-highest team score for England in Twenty20 matches was 241/3 versus New Zealand on November 8, 2019, in Napier. The Kiwis skipper made a significant error by inviting the opposition to bat first in this game. Despite losing a few early wickets while batting first, Dawid Malan’s century helped England record their highest team score of 241 for 3 in T20I. Malan needed just 48 more deliveries to reach the milestone and help England beat South Africa in 2016 with the greatest T20I score ever. Eoin Morgan hit 91 runs off 41 balls, which was his career-best effort in cricket’s shortest format, as England amassed 182 runs for the third wicket in 74 deliveries. In response, New Zealand was unable to hold off the English bowlers and gave up at 165 in 16.5 overs.

230/8 vs South Africa – 2016

230 for 8 against South Africa in Mumbai in 2016 is England’s third-highest T20I score. In the 18th game of the T20 World Cup 2015–16, England successfully chased down 230 targets, which is the most successful pursuit in T20I history. because the African bowler’s attack was totally wrecked by Jason Roy’s blazing start and Joe Root’s brilliant effort. Despite having half-centuries to their names, a lineup that comprised Quinton de Kock, Hashim Amla, and JP Duminy ultimately went for nothing.

226/5 vs South Africa – 2020

The fourth-highest team score by an English team in T20I was 226 for 5 against South Africa on February 16, 2020, in Centurion. Playing first, South Africa got off to a strong start, and their top-order batsmen did well, enabling them to surpass the 200-run milestone on the scoreboard. In addition to opening batsman Temba Bavuma’s crucial 49-run inning, Heinrich Klaasen scored 66 runs off of 33 balls. Thanks to half-centuries from Jos Buttler and Jonny Bairstow as well as Eoin Morgan’s unbeaten 57 runs, England was able to reach their goal.

221/5 vs Australia – 2018

The match versus Australia at Birmingham on June 27, 2018, saw England post its fifth-highest team score in T20I. Jos Buttler of England scored the fastest half-century in T20I history while batting first. England earned their second-highest total in T20I matches when batting first thanks to Buttler’s 50 off just 22 balls. Before that, in 2019, they defeated New Zealand with 241. With the exception of Aaron Finch, who scored 84 runs and was dismissed for 193 in just 19.4 overs, Australia’s batting order did not appear comfortable.

214/7 vs New Zealand – 2013

The 6th T20I highest team score of England came in the match against New Zealand at Auckland on 9 Feb 2013. The New Zealand captain asked the opposition to bat first and all of the top and middle-order batsmen of England played their game freely.
