The test series ended in a draw as both matches ended in a draw while New Zealand won the ODI series by 2-1. 1st Test Match
The first test match of the series was played at National Stadium, Karachi. The Test is known for the battle between the bat and ball, but it was missing on the pitch. All the critics criticized the pitch for being flat as batters played without any difficulties.
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bat first. Pakistan lost their early wickets, but Babar Azam and Sarfaraz Khan made a partnership. Sarfaraz got out after scoring 86(153), and Agha Salman came to bat after it. Babar Azam made a century and got out after 161 runs, and Agha Salman also scored a half-century. Pakistan scored 438 runs in the first innings.
New Zealand came to bat in the first innings, and Tom Latham & Devon Conway made a partnership. Conway got out after scoring 92 runs, and it was the first wicket of New Zealand at 183 runs. Kane Williamson came to bat in third position, and Tom Latham got out after scoring 113(191) runs. Captain Kane Williamson hit his double century, and New Zealand declared their innings at 612 runs.
Pakistan came to bat in the second innings and lost their early wickets. Opener Imam-ul-Haq was the highest scorer and got out after scoring 96 runs. Sarfaraz and Saud Shakeel also scored a half-century. Pakistan declared their innings on 311 runs.
New Zealand got the target of 138 runs, and New Zealand started to play fast but could score only 61 runs, and the match ended in a draw. It could have been a New Zealand match, but the match could produce a result due to fewer overs remaining.
2nd Test Match
The second test match of the series was played at National Stadium, Karachi. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bat first. New Zealand openers came to bat first, and Latham & Conway made a partnership. Tom Latham got out after scoring 71 runs, and Conway scored a century and got out after scoring 122 runs. Other than that, the New Zealand batter got a start but couldn’t convert it into a big score. Tom Blundell and Matt Henry scored a half-century, and New Zealand scored 449-10 in the first innings.
Pakistan got to bat in the second innings, and Pakistan batters also played without difficulties on the flat pitch. Opener Imam-ul-Haq and wicket-keeper Sarfraz Khan scored a half-century, and Shaud Shakeel hit a century. Pakistan scored 408-10 in the first innings, and New Zealand took the lead of 41 runs.
In the second innings, New Zealand declared their innings on 277 runs and gave them a target of 319 runs. Latham, Bracewell, and Tom Blundell scored half-centuries.
Chasing 319 runs, Pakistan’s batter reached closer to the target, but they lost 9 wickets. Sarfaraz Ahamd scored a century, while the other batters couldn’t score a half-century. The match and series ended in a draw.

1st ODI Match
Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. The New Zealand opener came to bat, and Conway got out very early. New Zealand batters got the start but couldn’t convert it into a big score. Kiwis scored 255 runs and gave the target of 256 runs. Naseem Shah was the most successful bowler with five wickets, while Usama Mir, Nawaz, and Mohammad Wasim jr took 2, 1, and 1 each. Pakistan came to bat, and their batters chased the score in 48.1 overs. Babar Azam, Mohammad Rizwan, and Fakhar Zaman scored half-centuries.
2nd ODI Match
New Zealand was lagging by 1-0. Fin Allen got out very early, but Conway and Williamson made a partnership, and Conway hit his hundred. New Zealand scored 261 runs. Nawaz was the most successful bowler with 4 wickets, while Naseem Shah, Haris Rauf, and Usama Mir took 3, 1, and 1 wicket each.
Pakistan came to chase, but their batters struggled to score runs. Babar Azam was the highest scorer, and Pakistan scored 182 runs and lost the match by 79 runs. New Zealand leveled the series 1-1.
3rd ODI Match
The 3rd ODI was the series decider, and Pakistan won the toss and decided to bowl first. Fakhar Zaman scored a century, and Rizwan scored a half-century. Pakistan scored 280 runs. New Zealand came to bat and chased the score in 48.1 overs. New Zealand won the series by 2-1.
