The super 12s stage contains eight outstanding teams and four qualified teams. Those 12 teams are split up into two groups. The semi-final round of the World cup T20 carries the top two teams from each group of the super 12. In the semi-final, the top team of group 1 competes against the second-leading team of group 2. In the same way, the second-leading team of group 1 plays a match against the top team of group 2. Finally, the last match occurs between the two winning teams of the semi-final.

In 2022, Australia hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup. Selecting Australia among the seven nations to get better surroundings and advantage while playing the T20 World cup. Hobert and Geelong are the two venues to host the first round. Apart from this, Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Perth, and Adelaide hosted the super 12s matches. T20 World Cup 2024 (West Indies & USA)  

ICC declares that the men’s T20 world cup 2024 will be held in the USA and West Indies. This edition of the world cup includes 20 teams. The 20 eligible teams will be split into four groups containing five teams in each group. Also, the top 2 teams from each group will be promoted to the super 8 round. In the super 8 round, the teams will be divided into two groups containing four teams in each group. The top two teams from both groups will qualify for the semi-finals and final matches. 

Recent Matches Played for the T20 World Cup  

According to the International Cricket Council, the T20 World Cup tournament’s opening match was played on the 16th of October between Namibia and Sri Lanka at Geelong in Australia. Also, the final game of the opening round is played between Scotland and Zimbabwe at Hobart. On the 22nd of October, the first game of the super 12s was held at the Sydney Cricket Ground.

Besides this, as per the date sheet of the T20 World Cup, India versus Pakistan match was performed on the 23rd of October. Also, on the 28th of October, the T20 World cup was played between England and Australia. The semi-finals of the World cup T20 2022 was held on the 9th of November and 10th of November in Adelaide and Sydney, respectively. The final round of this tournament was held on the 13th of November at Melbourne Cricket Ground.
