New Zealand came to chase, but they lost wickets very early. Their top six batters couldn’t reach 50 runs. Michael Bracewell and Mitchell Santner made a partnership of 162 runs. Santner got out after scoring 57 runs. The way Bracewell was playing, it might have been a New Zealand match, but “Lord” Thakur sent Bracewell to the pavilion. The second ODI match of Ind vs NZ was played at Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium, Raipur. India won the toss and decided to bowl first. New Zealand batters struggled to score runs in front of Indian bowlers. Glenn Phillips was the highest scorer with 36 runs, and Santer and Bracewell scored 27 and 22 each. New Zealand scored 108 runs and gave the target of 109 runs. Indian openers came to chase and made a great partnership. They chased the score in 20 overs. Rohit Sharma scored a half-century.
The third match of Ind vs NZ was played at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. New Zealand won the toss and decided to bowl first. The Indian opener was in red-hot form in this series.
