The opening match of the eighth ICC Women’s T20 World Cup, between hosts South Africa and Sri Lanka will take place on February 10, 2023. The tournament matches were played in Cape Town, Paarl, and Gqebera, with the knockout rounds taking place there.
The final will take place on February 26, 2023, with February 27 set aside as a backup day in case of significant play-related delays on the scheduled date.
Women’s T20 World Cup – Full Schedule
The 2023 Women’s T20 World Cup will kick off on February 10 in Cape Town between the hosts, South Africa and Sri Lanka. The final is scheduled for February 26, and a reserve day is available on February 27.
Bangladesh and Ireland, the champions of the 2022 ICC Women’s World Cup qualifier, are the last two teams in the ten-team competition, which will be played in Paarl, Gqebera, and Cape Town.
Australia is a member of Group 1, together with New Zealand, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh. India, Pakistan, England, the West Indies, and Ireland comprise Group 2.
After South Africa’s first ICC Women’s World Cup against Sri Lanka on February 11 in Paarl, England will play the West Indies, while Australia will take on New Zealand. On February 12, the first day of the respective seasons for the four Asian nations, India will face Pakistan, and Bangladesh will face Sri Lanka in Cape Town.
Each group’s top two teams advance to the semifinals. The semifinal matches and championship games will both be held in Cape Town, and each team will play each other team in their group once.
