Reigning champions Trinbago Knight Riders exercised their Right to Match Option (RMO) to re-sign the veteran troika of Nicholas Pooran, Sunil Narine and Kieron Pollard at the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2026 draft. The domestic names for each squad have been locked in, with a release from the CPL confirming the same on Friday, May 15.

Pooran led the Knight Riders to their fifth CPL title last year, with Pollard bagging the Player of the Tournament honours. Narine, meanwhile, has been a long-standing member of the Knight Riders across leagues around the globe. TKR used two more RMOs to retain Akeal Hosein and Terrance Hinds, while also adding all-rounders Justin Greaves and Dominic Drakes to the mix.

2023 champions Guyana Amazon Warriors opted to put their core group together, using RMOs on Shimron Hetmyer, Romario Shepherd and West Indies' white-ball skipper Shai Hope. They exercised their fourth RMO on speedster Shamar Joseph.

Jamaica Kingsmen, the new franchise, roped in the services of Rovman Powell and Andre Russell. Both players, who were once part of the erstwhile Jamaica Tallawahs, have moved teams with Powell playing three seasons at Barbados Royals - now rebranded as Barbados Tridents - and Russell having spent four years at TKR.

The Tridents drafted left-arm spinner Gudakesh Motie and middle-order batter Sherfane Rutherford, while exercising two of their RMOs on Brandon King and Kadeem Alleyne. St. Kitts & Nevis Patriots secured the services of former West Indies captain Jason Holder and wicket-keeper Johnson Charles, the all-time leading run-getter in the league's history.

Antigua & Barbuda Falcons drafted pacer Alzarri Joseph and opener Evin Lewis, while using their RMOs on Jayden Seales, Amir Jangoo and Fabian Allen. St. Lucia Kings, the 2024 champions, used their RMO on Roston Chase, Matthew Forde and Keon Gaston.

The overseas signings for the seven franchises will be announced in due course of time. CPL 2026 is scheduled to run from August 7 to September 20.
