A fully fit Shreyanka Patil has made it back into the T20I squad for the upcoming tour of Australia in February-March. Having last played for India in the 2024 T20 World Cup, Shreyanka had been sidelined with injuries for the majority of 2025. Having missed the last WPL, she staged a strong comeback in the ongoing season for RCB, picking up a five-wicket haul just 24 hours before this squad announcement.
India have also recalled middle-order batter Bharti Fulmali, who played her only two T20Is back in March 2019. Fulmali had a notable season of WPL last year, where she scored 133 runs in six outings at a staggering strike rate of 172.72. She has begun this ongoing season with a similar flourish, scoring 36 off 19 (against MI) and 39 off 20 (against RCB). The only ouster for India from their last T20I assignment - at home against Sri Lanka - is Harleen Deol.
India's T20I squad: Harmanpreet Kaur (C), Smriti Mandhana (VC), Shafali Verma, Renuka Thakur, Sree Charani, Vaishnavi Sharma, Kranti Gaud, Sneh Rana, Deepti Sharma, Richa Ghosh (WK), G Kamalini (WK), Arundhati Reddy, Amanjot Kaur, Jemimah Rodrigues, Bharti Fulmali, Shreyanka Patil
For the ODIs that follow the three T20Is, India have expectedly named Shafali Verma in the squad after she filled in spectacularly well for the injured opener Pratika Rawal during their championship-winning run. Rawal, who is still on the sidelines following a knee injury during the showpiece event, remains out while wicketkeeper-batter Yastika Bhatia continues rehabilitation following a knee surgery last September.
The impressive G Kamalini has earned a spot in the squad, who can double-up as the wicket-keeper too. Radha Yadav and Arunadhati Reddy, the only member of India's World Cup winning squad who did not feature in a single game at the tournament, have been left out, while Kashvee Gautam has been slotted in.

The BCCI are set to name the squad for the one-off Test at a later date. The white-ball leg of the tour will start off at the SCG with the 1st T20I on February 15, with the next two on February 19 and 21 at the Manuka Oval and Adelaide Oval respectively. With a couple of days break, the action shifts to Brisbane for the first ODI on February 24 at the Allan Border Field. The next two ODIs are scheduled on February 27 and March 1 - both at Bellerive Oval in Hobart.
