Pakistan's Gull Feroza has been fined 10 percent of her match fee for breaching the ICC Code of Conduct during her side's Women's Asia Cup encounter against Hong Kong in Dubai on Monday (September 7).
Feroza was found guilty of breaching Article 2.8 of the ICC Code of Conduct that relates to showing dissent to an umpire's decision. The player showed dissent during the fifth over of the Pakistan innings by gesturing to her bat indicating an inside edge after being adjudged lbw.
Feroza was also handed a demerit point for the offence. This is the 27-year-old's second demerit point in the 24-month window. The first one was during the recent T20 World Cup in England during a match against Australia. Since Feroza admitted to the offence, a formal hearing wasn't needed after the sanction.
