The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has announced its extensive schedule for the domestic season of 2026-27, across age groups, men's and women's cricket. As is often the case, the Duleep Trophy will get the ball rolling for the season, played from August 23 to September 10 at BCCI's Centre of Excellence (CoE) in Bengaluru. Srinagar will then host the Irani Cup from October 1 to 5.
A week later, the first phase of the Ranji Trophy Elite will get underway on October 11 and go on till November 5. The second phase will be played from January 17 to February 4. The knockouts will be held between February 9 and March 3. For the Plate division, the second phase will end sooner, on January 20, with the final taking place from January 24 to 28. The Col. CK Nayudu Trophy will also be played in two phases.
The BCCI release also stated: "The upcoming season will witness the reinstatement of the Col. C.K. Nayudu Trophy Winners vs Rest of India fixture, scheduled from 1st to 4th October 2026. The match returns to the domestic calendar to provide an enhanced competitive platform for emerging U23 cricketers."
Mumbai, Vizag, Kolkata and Mohali will then host league stage games of the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy Elite from November 14 to November 26, with knockouts from November 30 to December 6 in Nagpur. The Plate division of the tournament will see the league stage end four days earlier on November 22, and the final on November 24. All of these games will be held in Dimapur.
Domestic cricket will then return to Bengaluru, which is one of the hosts alongside Ahmedabad, Ranchi and Rajkot for the Vijay Hazare Trophy Elite, scheduled to go on from December 14 to December 29. Action will then shift to Vizag for the knockouts, from January 2 to 8. Likewise, the league stage of the Plate edition will finish five days earlier on December 24 and the final will be played on December 27 - all the fixtures in Indore. In a big move, the knockouts of the Cooch Behar Trophy (Elite) will be held in Bengaluru and Mysuru from January 3 to 30.
Meanwhile, the Senior Women's T20 Trophy Elite will be played from October 26 - November 6 in Lucknow, Pune, Delhi and Mohali. The knockouts will take place in Ahmedabad from November 14 to 20. The Plate division will be played in Dimapur until November 2, with the final scheduled for November 4.
The Women's One Day Trophy Elite gets a window from December 19 until December 31 in Cuttack, Jaipur, Baroda and Raipur, with the knockouts in Chennai from January 4 to 10. The league stage of the Plate division of the tournament finishes on December 27, with the final on December 29, all played in Kolkata.
The BCCI has also decided to convert the Men's U23 State A Trophy and the Vizzy Trophy from One Day competitions to T20 tournaments, as reported earlier by Cricbuzz. In all, the domestic season will feature 1,788 matches across age groups and men's and women's cricket.
