The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) has announced the opening of Player Draft Registration, marking a significant milestone on the road to its highly anticipated inaugural season.
Player Draft Registration is open to male cricketers affiliated with Cricket Ireland, Cricket Scotland or the KNCB (Royal Dutch Cricket Association). Eligible players can now submit their registrations for consideration in the ETPL Player Draft through the official ETPL website through which franchises will assemble their local player rosters ahead of the inaugural season.
Scheduled to be played from August 26 to September 20, 2026, the ETPL will bring together six city-based franchises representing Glasgow, Amsterdam, Edinburgh, Dublin, Belfast and Rotterdam in a tournament that will feature 32 matches.
MCA appoints Rajesh Pawar as chief selector
The Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) has appointed Rajesh Pawar as the chairman of selectors and retained Omkar Salvi as the head coach. Pawar (46) is a former Mumbai and Baroda cricketer who played 84 first class games between 1996 and 2013.
Salvi has been Mumbai coach for the last three seasons and Mumbai have won all three senior trophies - one Ranji Trophy, one Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy and one Vijay Hazare Trophy. However, Mumbai went trophy-less last season. For the senior women's team, Manish More will be the new chairman of selectors while Ajay Kadam will serve as head coach.
"Our selectors and head coaches have been appointed after considering their experience, cricketing knowledge, and leadership qualities. We have introduced a separate Selection Committee for the Mumbai Under-23 team this year for identifying good talent from local cricket." Raju Kulkarni, the chairman of Cricket Improvement Committee, said.
