Test opener Mahmudul Hasan Joy has failed to make the cut as the Bangladesh Cricket Board announced its 28-member men's national contract list on Thursday.

Cricbuzz earlier reported that there would be no A+ category in the national contract list, and the BCB confirmed this by announcing the list, which saw players distributed across four salary brackets.

Four cricketers - Najmul Hossain Shanto, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, Litton Kumer Das and Taskin Ahmed - have been placed in Grade A, where they will receive BDT 800,000 per month.

Veteran batter Mushfiqur Rahim, alongside Mominul Haque, Taijul Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, Towhid Hridoy, Shadman Islam, Tanzid Hasan Tamim, Rishad Hossain, Mahedi Hasan, Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana, has been placed in Grade B, earning BDT 600,000 per month.

Soumya Sarkar, Jaker Ali Anik, Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib, Nasum Ahmed and Syed Khaled Ahmed have been placed in Grade C, worth BDT 400,000 per month.

Seven players - Saif Hassan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Tanvir Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Hasan Murad, Shamim Hossain and Qazi Nurul Hasan Sohan - have received Grade D contracts valued at BDT 200,000 per month.
