T20 World Cup 2022 – Meet Team India’s Net Bowlers

For the significant event, T20 World Cup 2022, Team India will go to Australia on October 6. The Men in Blue will go to Australia for the next T20 World Cup with the preliminary squad and standbys, as well as four backup options for net bowlers.

Sri Lanka and Namibia will play each other in the opening match of the ICC T20 World Cup 2022 in Australia on October 16. In the Super 12 stage of the competition, Team Ind next match will be with Pakistan in their opening encounter on October 23.

The 14 members of the Indian squad who have been named have arrived in Australia in advance of the significant event. Also taking part, Team India played Western Australia XI in a practice match, winning by a score of 13 runs.

So, who’ll be the next T20 World Cup best bowler? Let’s find out with this article.

3 Indian Net Bowlers in Next T20 World Cup 2022

The BCCI has yet to decide on the 15th member of the squad. Initially chosen, fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was forced to withdraw due to an injury sustained just days before the team’s departure for Australia. He was consequently disqualified from the next T20 World Cup.

According to sources, Team India reserve players Shardul Thakur, Mohammed Shami, and Mohammed Siraj have headed to Australia. Bumrah will be replaced by one of them in the starting lineup.

Additionally, the BCCI has sent three more players to Australia to assist the Indian bats during their net practice sessions. Here is a complete list of Team India’s net bowlers for the ICC upcoming matches in 2022.

Chetan Sakariya

Chetan Sakariya, a left-arm fast bowler for Saurashtra, has been travelling with the Indian team to Australia in preparation for the next T20 World Cup. One of the three net bowlers who are part of the Indian contingent is Sakariya.

Sakariya played a bunch of games earlier this year in Australia, in case you didn’t know. He joined the Sunshine Coast team in Queensland’s KFC T20 Max league. As a result of Sakariya’s exposure to Australian weather, the BCCI may have decided to use him as a net bowler.

Additionally, in international games, Indian hitters have had trouble facing left-arm quick bowlers. The Indian players can improve their vulnerabilities by dealing with Sakariya’s deliveries in the net.

Mukesh Choudhary

Mukesh Choudhary participated in the KFC T20 Max series earlier this year together with Sakariya. The Wynnum Manly group gave him a contract. Mukesh has yet to play for India in an international cricket match, although he was impressed during the 2022 IPL season.

Mukesh took 16 wickets in 13 games while representing the Chennai Super Kings franchise, including one four-wicket haul. The left-arm bowler might soon make his international debut if his bowling in the nets wins over the coaches and the Indian players.

Saurabh Kumar

Not many Indian T20 fans would know about Saurabh Kumar because he has never played in the IPL. Saurabh is a left-arm spinner from Uttar Pradesh who has scalped 222 wickets in 52 first-class matches. He has helped the Indian Test batters in the nets before.

According to a report, Umran Malik and Kuldeep Sen were initially slated to fly to Australia as net bowlers for the next T20 World Cup 2022. However, both of them had to stay back due to visa issues.

Sakariya and Saurabh have replaced Malik and Sen as India’s net bowlers for the T20 World Cup upcoming matches in 2022.

As Jasprit Bumrah has been ruled out due to injury and the squad is seeking his replacement, the Indian team is dealing with some significant difficulties before the event.

Although it is unlikely that Bumrah’s absence can be filled, the Indian administration is looking for someone who can give India a boost in the competition. According to rumours, Umran Malik, Kuldeep Sen, and R Sai Kishore will travel with the Indian team to Australia as net bowlers. The team will also include four backup players. Kuldeep Sen is another burgeoning fast bowler who has excelled in the domestic circuit, and Umran Malik is a fiery fast bowler who bowls over 150 kmph. Meanwhile, left-arm spinner R Sai Kishore has established himself in the domestic scene.
